Neilas Inc.
Project Description:
Designed by Governor General Award winning architect, Stephen Teeple, OpArt Lofts stimulates the imagination of the real estate industry by breaking the mould of the glass city tower. Offering a provocative first impression, OpArt’s two ten-storey towers atop a podium playfully appear as random bubbles of Swiss cheese. With a closer look, Teeple’s bold architectural move replaces the traditional curtain wall with a pre-cast envelope featuring perforations of various sizes in a seemingly random pattern.

Builder:
Empire Communities
Project Description:
Like the dynamic movement of raindrops, the striking glass and white metal towers at Rain are an abstract composition of openings in the sky. Set back from the street and from each other, the two towers (19 and 21 storeys respectively) evoke a sense of separation, while the low-rise podium that links them anchors the towers to create one cohesive structure. Architects Enzo Corazza and John Chimienti from the award-winning firm Graziani + Corazza purposely designed the master-planned community to create maximum access to sunlight and panoramic views while providing a sense of privacy for residents.
